"Each employee at The LPA Group involved in the project has remained intimate with the project and has kept close communications with the County. I would recommend the use of LPA's services on any future project with Richland County."

Description:

The Western Wake Freeway is a new location roadway, approximately 12.6 miles in length from NC 55 at SR1172 (Old Smithfield Road) to NC 55 near SR1630 (Alston Avenue) in Wake County. The project is a six-lane, controlled-access toll road and is expected to save customers up to 20 minutes per full trip. The Western Wake Freeway is scheduled to open to traffic in 2012. The Project will be the first project in the United States designed and built to utilize an all electronic toll collection system, meaning there will be no toll booths and no stopping to pay tolls. Customers may use cash, check, or credit card to purchase an electronic transponder that will automatically charge for road use. For those without a transponder, overhead gantries with high speed camera imaging systems will capture license plate information and drivers will be billed.
